FIRE AND WATER “Kate Wilson’s work is a kind of visual diary, a repository for whatever is engaging or troubling her. What is remarkable is that these preoccupations resonate so strongly for us; perhaps because she is drawn to subjects which carry an unconscious charge. We do not need to be told that water refers to our subconscious drives and fears; we only have to look at ‘Restless Water’ to feel strangely shaken up and excited.
