The studios, which are unique in south-west London, are set in the beautiful surroundings of Oaks Park, to the south of Carshalton Beeches in the London Borough of Sutton.† They are an imaginative use of the old stables, once part of the estate of the Earl of Derby, who was of historic importance to horse racing at nearby Epsom.† They are now occupied by a group of visual artists whose practice includes painting, sculpture, stained glass, printmaking, puppetry and storytelling.† Every summer the group holds Open Weekends when visitors can meet and talk to the artists, watch demonstrations and view and buy original art works in the very place where they are made.† Oaks Park Studios is a venue of Carshalton Artists Open Studios (CAOS).†

Free printmaking activity

During both weekends Simon Burder will be offering a hands-on experience of stone lithography, inviting visitors to join in a collaborative print.
