Simon Burder studied Fine Art at Exeter College of Art and lithography at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris.† He runs Oaks Editions Lithography Studio, where he also encourages other artists to discover for themselves the magical properties of grease and water.† His lithographs have been shown in many exhibitions, more recently including the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, Impress International Printmaking Festival Stroud, RBSA Print Biennial, Birmingham, International Lithographic Symposium, Tidaholm, Sweden, National Original Print Exhibition and The Masters: Screen and Stone, Bankside Gallery, London, and they are included in the collections of the British Library, Cambridge University Library, Aberystwyth University, Manchester Metropolitan University Library and Leeds College of Art Library, amongst others.

He recently curated Oaks Editions Lithography Studio: twenty years of artists making prints from stone, an exhibition at Riverside Gallery, Richmond.

Simon Burder teaches printmaking at City Lit, Putney School of Art & Design, Morley College and Sutton College as well as the stone lithography courses at Oaks Editions Lithography Studio.
