Stone Lithography Courses Oaks Editions Lithography
This year we are excited to offer a one-day Masterclass with our guest tutor Thomas Cert. This is aimed at those with previous experience of lithography who would benefit from the detailed knowledge and expertise of a Tamarind Master Printer. It will take the form of a hands-on demonstration in response to participants’ questions. Six places available.
The regular four-day stone lithography courses at Oaks Editions taught by Simon Burder are suitable for artists with or without previous experience of printmaking. The number of places on these courses is kept to a maximum of four. Each participant is encouraged to explore the medium in the way which is most appropriate to his or her own interests and experience. This can range from an introduction to the main technical processes, including preparation of stones, principal drawing and painting techniques and materials and printing skills, to more specialised subjects such as colour and transfer lithography. Participants can expect to leave with a small edition of prints. Other course formats, group sizes and dates are negotiable.
